YouSendIt incorporates access controls at all levels of its service, from initial user login to file transfer to data storage. All file senders and recipients are authenticated using a valid email address and password. These credentials are authenticated using a full activation cycle to ensure the true ownership of the email address and are encrypted during transmission and storage for security purposes. Files are encrypted using industry-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption during upload and download and are protected in YouSendIt's ecure data center during storage.
